1. It's true, I am one of MILLIONS of women bloggers. 36 million to be exact.
2. BlogHer conferences are totally fun - totally worth going to and going through any trouble in order to go to. As a matter of fact next year, I'm going to the WHOLE conference instead of just one day, and staying AT the hotel where the conference is.
3. San Francisco is cold as hell.
4. Twitter is GOOD thing, even though I don't and may not use it.
5. There is nothing wrong with putting ads on your site. Just make them relevant and put up 3 at the most.
6. It's a GOOD thing to put your name and picture on your site. I'm putting that on my "to do" list.
7. It's vital to have a conference "buddy". Without Wifey, I would've been lost! Thanks Wifey! You're awesome!
8. It was really is great to meet people you have been blogging "with". I not only got to hang out with Wifey, I was absolutely thrilled to meet Bad Mom. It was like meeting a celebrity! And then to be in the presence of those rock star bloggers like Elise Bauer from Simply Recipes and Kristen Chase from Motherhood Uncensored, listening to what they have to say, and learning from them is priceless.
9. It's worth it to take out time during the week just for blogging. Besides it being a blast, meeting truly genuine, strong, witty, wonderful, funny, talented, dynamic, thoughtful, clever women, and reading some really funny sh*t, if you have an idea, a goal, there is much success to be had by putting in the work. And it's fun work, which is why I always feel guilty for doing it!
10. Blogging is cool! It's a fantastic tool in so MANY ways and for so MANY reasons (sorry to be so general). It's still just the beginning. The media industry including television, magazines is being strongly influenced by the blogging world and they not only want a piece of it, they want to BE it! Because it hasn't been around that long, we (us "bloggers") are way ahead of the game! We've only just begun...

SO happy to hear you had such a wonderful time! I kept seeing BlogHer '08 everywhere, but I never really looked into it, this past weekend was Muncher's birthday. There's always next year :)
Too funny, I hovered over the 'genuine, strong, witty' link, wondering if I was about to find a new blog to subscribe to, imagine my surprise when I saw it was ME!? THANK YOU...I most definitely feel the same way about you!
OH! I. AM. SO. JEALOUS!!! I'm glad you had such a great time! Maybe I'll be able to go next year. Hopefully, I'll have Sophie weened by then. No promises though, because she's much stronger than me.
So glad you had fun! Would've loved to go, but I was booked for BlogHerNot instead ...
There's always next year!
And clever? Me? Awww, thanks :)
Thanks for sharing! Wish I could have been there . . .
And are you sure it's good to have a photo on the page? No matter what you look like?
RHW - You are too sweet! Thank you so much for linking me! And for dubbing me "wonderful, funny, talented" - now I can say to hubby, "See, other people think so!" :) {{{HUGS!!!}}}
You are beautiful & delightful, and I was honored that you took time to seek me out.
You are so right about having a buddy - I think that's why I felt a little sunk most of the time...Next year, we'll do it better; you lead :D
Thank you for the props.
Bekkah, Monkey Toe, Mommy Pie, Moz: I expect to see you ALL next year!!!!
Oh Moz, you're too funny! I KNOW you're beautiful! Now, it's time to show the world! (look who's talking, I'll do it...I promise)
Stephanie: Thank you! It was so great to meet you as well - next year we WILL do it better! Maybe we'll all just make a plan of meeting up together and have a buddy system or something?! It was so overwhelming the amount of people there! I would've loved to spend more time talking with you though! Next year, next year, next year...
It's so great you got to go--I've been experiencing a BlogHer inferiority complex lately and a lack of linky love. So thanks for your link and your lovely comment.
Tell more more! I'm so happy you were able to go to the conference. I would have loved to be there. Hopefully next year.
