Bad Hair Day After Day After Day....

My hair before moving to Las Vegas (dry, hot, dry, no humidity, hard water, and did I mention dry?) 6 years ago:

My hair after moving to Las Vegas and having a kid:

Any suggestions?

This would possibly be the only time I could compare myself to Penelope Cruz by the way...

That made me laugh! I have no solutions! I have heard that people put mayo in their hair for moisture. I am not sure it would ever come out though!

Sorry you're having a "bad hair day"!

OMG, that was hilarious! I feel exactly the same! Before I moved to Michigan, my hair was fairly decent, but now we have well water with SO much iron in it! It gets 3 shades darker each week, and I have to do "malibu treatments" once a week to get all the iron out. Oh, and the iron has made my hair look just like that tumbleweed in pic #2. Dry, fried, and wiry. It's really pretty...

Nicolle: mayo huh? Interesting - although, I don't know if I could handle the smell these days! But thanks! BTW, I'm stealing your comment for my title - I posted it so fast and couldn't really think of an appropriate title, but I think you came up with a good one!

Camay: That's so frustrating about the iron. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one suffering from regional "bad hair" issues. It sucks though! I've thought maybe the issue could be the chlorine in our water - who knows.

How about changing your shampoo/conditioner. I have super thick, dry, unruly hair and I have found that the only thing that works for me is Redken All Soft. It works pretty well but I also use Frederick Fekkai Glossing Creme. Not cheap, but stops my hair from looking like pic#2 when I use my flat iron.

Check out my blog, same question about skin care.
