Top 10 Things I Feel Guilty About Today

1. Blogging (& and now I can add Tweeting!) while I feel like I should be at my childrens' constant beck and call.

2. Not vacuuming/cleaning the carpets & floors - yet again. Instead, I blog.

3. Turning on Nick Jr. every time I didn't know how to deal with my 3 1/2 yr. old.

4. Feeling relief when my husband took my 3 1/2 year old to her playdate. Ahhhhh....now I can blog in peace!

5. Eating.

6. Having "Jersey Shore" on in the background as I type this. BTW -I have no idea what's going on. Why does this guy call himself "the Situation"?

7. Now, blogging while my husband is doing the vacuuming I told him I felt guilty for not doing and feel like I should be doing, while having "Jersey Shore" on in the background as I type this.

8. Blogging while I feel like I should be holding my baby instead of bouncing her in her bouncy seat with my foot. while my husband is vacuuming and I have "Jersey Shore" on in the background as I type this.

9. Neglecting the dirty laundry which apparently decided to never be done...and blogging instead.

10. Oh, and not blogging. Well, now, no - but before this, yes.

You make me laugh!

Last night I should have been asleep, but I was watching Jersey Shore Reunion. I, too, had no idea what was going on. haha. I haven't watched a single episode, yet I was intrigued. :))

#1+8 - totally bogus...are the kids unhappy? crying? destroying things? as long as you don't take it to extremes, you don't have to be there every. single. second. just don't take it to the point of criminal neglect!

#3+4 - cut yourself some slack. and btw, nick. jr. is educational. she's gonna be the smartest kid in preschool.

#7 - is he vacuuming to make a point and make you feel bad? otherwise, thank your lucky stars that he is giving you this time to enjoy yourself on the computer!

#2+9 - the housework will never be done. period. that's just a fact of life. you know what they say - cleaning the house while the kids are still growing is like shoveling the walk before it stops snowing! or maybe you don't know that one, living in nevada and all...

guilt is dead weight. throw it overboard. it will all be alright.

Thanks Michele. I definitely needed that! For some reason, I've always struggled w/guilt/people-pleasing sort of stuff. And now, w/kids - omg. I really appreciate your input - I'll have to read it at least once a day. You're awesome.
