When Your Husband's Unemployment...

, being 5 months pregnant, insomnia, keeping up with your extremely "energetic", precocious 2 1/2 year old, unsuccessful potty-training attempts, failed attempts at breaking away from co-sleeping, severe withdrawals from the absence of "Lost" DVDs from Netflix (waiting for Season 5 on DVD...no spoilers please:-)!).....oh, and did I mention I.N.S.O.M.N.I.A. from H.E.L.L.??!! .....

gets in the way of blogging -

I'll be back soon - promise.

Miss you!

Please don't let anxiety about a new baby coming influence your decision to get Dora out of your bed. She will be out all too soon; believe me.

Our first co-sleeper is turning 18 on Friday. We welcomed her in our bed as an infant, thought she'd never leave as a toddler, refused her when she was a world-class kicker, allowed her in occasionally as a child, and now are delighted when every so often she pops in our room after hours for a cozy chat, even letting her sleep there once in a while because we have the "comfiest bed in the house."

You have to do what's right for your family, but I always tried to remember that I don't like to be alone at night when my husband is away or on night shift, so why should I expect any different from such a young child?

It feels like it will never end. Until it does. Hang in there!

Get that sleep however you can! It's only gonna get worse, I suspect!

Michele: LOVE your advice. I actually do feel the same exact way. I've always hated sleeping alone, so why would she EVER want to sleep alone? And episode of Supernanny and a few sleepless nights later, I'm thinking maybe it's time? I don't know, I'm still completely conflicted. I really really appreciate your advice. I, like your 18 year old, always felt my parents' bed was the "comfiest bed in the house as well!"

Stephanie: THANKS! I think I GOT them, cuz I slept like a log last night and finally feel NORMAL this morning!!!:-)

Moz: I know, scary thought...with a new baby comes new sleeping issues. BUT, my insomnia is actually completely pregnancy hormone related. At least when baby two comes, those hormones will be long gone (I think) and when I do lay down, I will welcome sleep! BUT, yes, interrupted sleep every 2 hrs or more are in my near future...ugh.

Restless, I have missed YOU!!!

OH, I have such empathy for you! I swear, no sleep is seriously the hardest thing about having kids. I soooo can't imagine needing the energy for a 2 1/2 year old and being pregnant. I hope you get some good sleep soon!

Someone recently told me I won't sleep well for the next 18 years, and even after that I'll still worry about Boyd! :))

I am so glad you reopened the comments!
I've been dying to know how you're doing and how restless baby is doing?
Are you going to share ultrasound pics with us at all?
