Pictures of Me

Wow.

So, in search of a photo of me to put on this blog, I discovered a sad truth...I have none.

I mean, I do, but they're are a few pictures of me and baby-toddler-Dora, nested in thousands of pictures of JUST baby-toddler-Dora, where I look like I just woke up. Pictures of me, with some weird expression on my face, wearing some very un-trendy, un-retro, over-sized t-shirt, with my eyes half shut, where I look like I just woke up. Or pictures of me...where I really did... just wake up.

Then, there are pictures of me that I question: "do I really look like that?"...where I look like I just woke up.

Then, there a few (more like 50), that I think I look fat in (of course)...where I look like I just woke up.

Then, there are a few of me at my cousin's wedding, where I actually dressed up, did my hair, wore makeup, and look like I didn't just wake up = not a realistic representation of me.

So, I told Restless Hubs that we need to sit down and do a little "photo shoot" of just me, everyday "just me", but not me with my eyes half shut, and don't look like a homeless person.

But, the fact of the matter is, a realistic representation of me would be where my eyes are half shut, I look like a homeless person...and I look like I just woke up.

I used to look hot I think. What happened to me?

Are you me? You'll almost never find photos of me on my blog! For one thing - I take all the photos, and I'm not into self-photography. And the few there are of me just don't do me justice! Or do I really look like that now?

I forgot to say, you look cute in those photos. I love the last one!

Cute pictures!! The same thing happens here with pics of me...they are almost non existent and those that exist have me with my eyes half closed....

I think you look GORGEOUS! I love the picture of you and Dora at the wedding! To be fair, I don't look like my blog photo on a daily basis either. I normally walk around the house with no make up, hair in pony, and my "lounge pants" - which are really my PJs. As my daughter so politely said, I only look like that on special occasions. There was a time when I use to do my make up and look nice all the time, but after Sophie, I kind of gave up. Don't feel bad - you're still hot!

Can you say on fire? Smiles! Of course you're still hot; and I met you in person so I know it's true. Great pictures... Oh, and how is your project coming along? Wink, wink!

Moz: I totally get the whole taking all the photos therefore not having any. I look at old albums and have all these pix of my dad and I, but none of my mom. So not fair. And, "thanks" - I so don't see the "cute" thing, but I'll take it!

Mamajil: Thanks! Good to know I'm not the only one...

Monkey Toe: THANKS!! wow - so don't feel that way, but I'll take it!! And yeah...you're GORGEOUS in that photo - but it helps to know that you don't look like that everyday! Love the "lounge pants" = PJs - so me too.

Wifey: Thanks. Project? What project? ugh.

Um, you're gorgeous. But I relate: I hate photos of myself these days, because I always look at them and think: gah! What happened to me?

HA! We ALL feel as though we look like half-awake homelesspeople!

I have MAYBE 2 or 3 decent pics of me and 'da Munch togther. Otherwise, all my pics are crap too. Which is why every one of my profile pics are a 'self portrait' and you can see my arms reaching out to hold the camera.

There are days when the rings under my eyes are so dark, I look half-raccoon. I feel all of this has less to do with ME and more to do with the need to spend an extended period of time lounging on a beach, sipping fruity umbrella drinks...yes??????

What do you mean? You look great!

Here's my secret: For my blog photo, I shot myself into the sun (and not with the sun behind the camera like you're supposed to).

That way it softens up my face and diminishes the wrinkles.

But you don't have to worry about that.
